Xbox 360 Leaked!

This was leaked out sometime in the past few days, so for all you slack asses who haven't seen it yet here is a preview of what the next Xbox should look like:

Xbox 360

That's right it'll be called the Xbox 360. And here's some info on it that I've heard so far. Disclaimer: Everything that follows is pure speculation as Microsoft does not comment on rumors. All depictions are not accurate and when Microsoft debuts the new system May 12th on MTV we'll know how it really is.

  • Xbox 360 will ship at two price points: $299 for a basic edition, and $399 for the premium system.
  • The premium system will feature backwards compatibility with the first Xbox, the basic will not.
  • Premium will also feature Microsoft's WebTV for browsing on your television.
  • Premium will come with a harddrive, the basic will not but you will be able to buy it later as an add-on.

I also believe it will use all wireless controllers, about damn time. I was a little worried about the direction Microsoft was going to head with this new console. But those worries are starting to seem more and more unfounded. We'll all see what they have in store for us May 12th and than more so at E3. I think I will likely be getting one of these come launch day. There's some more info out there for you to chew on than what I've posted and I'll leave it to you to dig it up your own damn selves.

You have the right to remain silent...

Yes, I actually had my rights read to me but I'll let you know what happened anyways. I've been kind of sluggish with the posts lately. I meant to post this last Monday. Anyways, I got myself in a bit of trouble on Friday of last week. To get to the point, I got caught with my girlfriend over at our house past curfew hours. No one is suppose to be here past 1am and she came here to drop me off around 3am, which is fine, but she stayed for 30 minutes, which is not, and that's when my commander did an after hours check and saw her. So I got charged with violation of Article 92 of the UCMJ, disobeying a lawful order. In short, I got put on restriction for 30 days and lost half a paycheck. Suckage. It could have been worse though. Now I can only go to two places, our house and the embassy. So I'm not gunna have much of anything interesting to post until May 19th. I better not miss the damn Star Wars premier!! If it's opening here on the same day that is. -500 points to me

However, in about a week I will be posting my first impressions review of the Mac Mini that I got last week. I look forward to writing that. And I have another, unrelated, post in my pocket as well. So keep an eye out for those coming to a blog near you soon.

Post SAI News

During our semi-annual inspection we took an afternoon off to enjoy some more horseback riding. I swear I won't mind if I don't have to ride another horse the rest of the time I'm here. We came across this and it was just too funny, good thing we had the camera. Looks like all his friends in the background are leaving him for the coyotes...if Brazil has coyotes. Points will be given to anyone who posts a funny caption for this picture in this post's comments.

Anyways, the inspection went well for everyone and once it was over everyone pretty much shifted into low gear. It's good to finally be done rushing around trying to finish things up. The only thing worth noting that's happened in the past week is that I got my Mac Mini in on Wednesday. I finally broke down and bought one to try out OS X. Since the Mini came out, all the PC sites out there felt it was worth their time to review it since it is so inexpensive and with my curiousity piqued, I had to try one too. After I use it for two or three weeks I'll post my impressions of it on here.

Before I sign out there was one other thing that happened Friday night...something which is going to get me into some hot water. And depending on how things go...well...I'll find out what's going to happen on Monday. More to come on this on Monday. Anyways, that's all I've got for now.

Cpl Compton out.

Stay Tuned

More reasons to hate Best Buy:

Here's a link to a story about a guy who got arrested for trying to pay with $2 bills.

Update to come soon. Stay Tuned.
