House Picture, Part I

This place is amazing. What a sweet place to get assigned to for my first post. And the Marine house...it's friggin' awesome! I couldn't even fit the whole thing in a photo. It's REALLY big for 5 people. I've taken some pictures of it and I'll try to post them on a Yahoo photo album soon so y'all can look at them. And the embassy is pretty cool too. It's pretty laid back there. I think this is going to be a good year. =) More to come...

In Brazil The Toilet Swirls In The Opposite Direction

YES!! My flight is confirmed and I got my itinerary today! My flight is booked for 5PM Monday. I got a lot of packing to do. This will probably be my last post until Wednesday or Thursday. I'll try to get some pictures of the embassy and the Marine house up around that time. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Anonymous A-holes 'R' You

I know a lot of y'all don't have Blogger accounts and don't want to sign up for one either. Hence the reason I let y'all post comments anonymously (or else I know a lot of you jackasses wouldn't bother to leave one.) It's lame marketing attempts to sucker you into something you don't need, which I suppose IS what marketing is about. They could at least have a field for your name. Anyways, I digress...I have but one simple request. End your comment with your first and last initial if you post anonymously (i.e. "-C.C."). So far I haven't had a problem figuring out who the anonymous posters were. But as I get older and even more senile, it'll help jog the ol' neurons when I look back at the posts/comments.

Destination: Brasilia, Brazil

Finally! I'm about to get out of this place at last. For the past month I've been marking time here in Quantico, VA doing absolutely nothing productive and it got old real quick. I got the news today that my visa came back and I'll be leaving for Brazil on Monday or Tuesday. I should have my flight itinerary by Friday and I'll know for sure then. At last I can do the job I've been training for during the last 3 months.

It's a blog world after all.

For the past who knows how long blogs have been spreading like wildfire. I had seen a couple here and there and always thought they were kind of lame. And here I am...making one. ARGH. Well in light of the fact that I just don't have the kind of time it takes to create and manage a website these days this seemed like the best alternative to having nothing at all. I'll try to get some interesting content after I figure out how everything on this site works. For now, this is what ya get. Tada. Hope you all like it, dammit.
