Xbox 360 Leaked!

This was leaked out sometime in the past few days, so for all you slack asses who haven't seen it yet here is a preview of what the next Xbox should look like:

Xbox 360

That's right it'll be called the Xbox 360. And here's some info on it that I've heard so far. Disclaimer: Everything that follows is pure speculation as Microsoft does not comment on rumors. All depictions are not accurate and when Microsoft debuts the new system May 12th on MTV we'll know how it really is.

  • Xbox 360 will ship at two price points: $299 for a basic edition, and $399 for the premium system.
  • The premium system will feature backwards compatibility with the first Xbox, the basic will not.
  • Premium will also feature Microsoft's WebTV for browsing on your television.
  • Premium will come with a harddrive, the basic will not but you will be able to buy it later as an add-on.

I also believe it will use all wireless controllers, about damn time. I was a little worried about the direction Microsoft was going to head with this new console. But those worries are starting to seem more and more unfounded. We'll all see what they have in store for us May 12th and than more so at E3. I think I will likely be getting one of these come launch day. There's some more info out there for you to chew on than what I've posted and I'll leave it to you to dig it up your own damn selves.

web tv seems pointless. and there better be wireless controllers seeing how it looks like there's only 2 possible controller hookins on the front. back to halo 2 for now

You can't tell because of the size of the pic but those two slots actually say "Memory Slot A" and "Memory Slot B". And when I use to work at Best Buy I use to scoff at the WebTV units we sold and the very idea itself. But I'm willing to give Microsoft a chance and see if they do something sensible in this area.
