DC Post Action

Two for one special today! This is the kind of thing I figured deserved it's own post. While I was in São Paulo I got an unexpected call from my assistant detachment commander (A/ for short). She called to tell me that Delta Company had selected me for a DC post. No, that's not Washington, D.C. ...I wish... DC stands for designated country. They're the countries that have a high counter-intelligence threat. I wouldn't volunteer for a DC post but since I'm being "voluntold" to do one I'll make the best of it. Here are the options she gave me:

• Moscow, Russia
• St. Petersburg, Russia
• Minsk, Belarus
• Jerusalem, Israel
• Tel Aviv, Israel
• Beijing, China
• Chengdu China

I had to pick my top three choices out of those so I submitted St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, and Beijing. Fuck, I wish I would have put Jerusalem instead of Beijing. I've already been to Japan and Korea, I don't want to see any more of that asian wasteland! Moscow seems like it would be fun, but that's a detachment of like 24 Marines and I don't want to go to a large detachment if I can help it. Odds are pretty good that I'll be going to one of those 7 places in October though. When I find out more I'll post here.
